Hello! Today, I’ll be documenting the first day of my Paris trip. Paris is known as the city filled with romance, and for that reason, we will be exploring the city’s charm by visiting the Eiffel Tower, the Seine River, and the Trocadéro Gardens.
Travel Tips: Essentials and Local Precautions
- European electrical adaptor needed
- Reserve morning Eiffel Tower visit to save waiting time
- Purchase a transportation card for city public transportation use
Morning: Start with the dazzling beauty of the Eiffel Tower
First, wake up early and start your day by having breakfast at a traditional French restaurant. Enjoy warm croissants and coffee at “Rancœur de Cœur” restaurant, located near the Place de la Victoire, which offers a variety of bread and coffee.
- Tip: Although croissants are sold in the afternoon in Paris, they were originally made for breakfast, so make sure to try one in the morning!
After recharging, head to the Eiffel Tower. Climbing the Eiffel Tower will give you a panoramic view of the beautiful places in the city. It’s a must-visit iconic landmark during your trip to France. Conveniently, you can arrive at the Eiffel Tower using Metro lines 6, 8, or 9.
- Tip: If you plan to visit the Eiffel Tower in the morning, book your tickets online beforehand. That way, you can go up the Eiffel Tower without waiting in a long line.
The nearby attractions around the Eiffel Tower include walking further along the Seine River to see “Monet’s Garden.” Photos taken at the garden with the Eiffel Tower in the background will surely be full of romance
Afternoon: Stroll along the Seine River and enjoy a river cruise
For lunch, enjoy a simple pasta and salad dish at ‘La Pêche au Carrelet’ located nearby. In the afternoon, stroll along the Seine River. Take in the city’s romantic atmosphere as you spend a leisurely time by the river. If you have the chance, try boarding a river cruise from companies like Bateaux Mouches. Experience a luxurious trip while admiring the beautiful scenery of Paris.
- Tip: If you want to board a river cruise, consider purchasing your tickets online in advance for benefits and discounts.
Late Afternoon: Relax at the Trocadéro Gardens
After taking a break by the Seine River, it’s time to visit the Trocadéro Gardens. Here you can view various sculptures and gardens as well as rest on the viewing seats set up with views of the Eiffel Tower. Under the afternoon sunlight, enjoy a beverage while sharing stories about the day’s experiences and planning the next part of your journey.
Evening: A fabulous finale at a delicious restaurant
For dinner, visit Le Café Plum. This traditional French cuisine restaurant offers a variety of menu items and is known for its cozy interior design. Particularly, Bavette d’Aloyau (flank steak) and Blanquette de veau (veal fricassee) are popular menu items, which we highly recommend.
- Tip: If you want to try dishes that locals enjoy, ask the restaurant staff for their recommended dishes. You won’t be disappointed by their suggestions.
After dinner, head to a nearby cafe to enjoy a slice of cake and a cup of coffee. As you walk through the streets of Paris at night, wrap up the day by spending time in this romantic city.
We hope your first day in Paris goes smoothly, and stay tuned for more adventures in the next blog entry! Au revoir!
